Join LA-based master printer Mohan Bhasker for our first ever tri-color gum bichromate workshop, December 12-14, 2024 at the Bostick & Sullivan darkroom studio in Santa fe, New Mexico! The gum bichromate process is a technique that allows the artist to create a monochrome print with one exposure, but in practice, multiple layers are applied atop each other for multiple exposures, resulting in multiple layers of color.
Learn every aspect of the process, from the selection and preparation of papers, mixing pigments, coating paper, and creating multiple layers of emulsion to produce a full color image.
$1475 Class Fee. All materials and chemistry for the workshop are included. Fee also includes daily lunches, delivered from our favorite local eateries, plus coffee, drinks and various snacks throughout the day.
