Join one of our incredibly popular Platinum/Palladium Printing workshops at the Bostick & Sullivan Studio Darkroom in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico!
Spend three days creating stunning handcrafted 8″x10″ prints in the most beautiful of photographic processes. Learn our easy digital negatives system that’s been designed for extreme simplicity, so you spend more time making gorgeous images, and less time in front of a computer screen.
Most images will be printed in the 8×10 format, but students will have the chance to produce 2 to 3 larger images of up to 12×16″ on day two and three. Students who already have large formate 4×5, 5×7 and 8×10 negatives are encouraged to bring those, as well as digital files.
In this intimate workshop, we show you how to prep your workspace, coat, expose and develop your prints. We cover common mistakes, and how to diagnose the proper solution. After processing in the darkroom, students heat-press to flatten each print, and place them in archival sleeves and secure them for proper transportation and storage.
We supply all the materials you’ll need, plus we serve lunch everyday from some of our favorite local Santa Fe restaurants! We also supply coffee, snacks, drinks and bottled water for our participants.
